Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at WorkForce Services Inc. in Sheridan, Wyoming.

The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel/gas engines and be able to perform inspections/diagnostics and most repairs without supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition.
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use.
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems.
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Contain costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Field inspections and repairs may be required, and the ability to work in all weather conditions is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of diesel/gas engines.
  • Ability to perform inspections/diagnostics and most repairs without supervision.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
