Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Ascension. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a high-acuity setting, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a high-acuity setting, including implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
- 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience preferred.
Work Environment:
We are hiring for Full-time Day shift - 7:00AM – 7:30PM. Full-time (36 hours) a week; scheduled every third weekend, and holidays – minimum of two per year.
