The Virginia Community College System is seeking a part-time Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty to join our team at the Middletown Campus. As a Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty, you will be responsible for teaching college-level nursing courses, which may include distance learning and on-campus teaching during the day, evening, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Teach nursing courses to students in a variety of settings, including clinical and laboratory environments.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the nursing program.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of the nursing program.
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia. You must also have experience in teaching and/or clinical practice in a nursing setting.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Nursing or related field, experience in teaching and/or clinical practice in a nursing setting, and current certification in a specialty area of nursing.
Working ConditionsThis is a part-time position, and the schedule may include day, evening, or weekend hours in an off-campus or on-campus lab and/or clinical site.
Compensation and BenefitsThe minimum hourly rate for this position is $35.36 per hour, and the actual starting rate is commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is not eligible for health or leave benefits, but may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
