Recreational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Froedtert Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic recreation services to patients, assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting treatment programs.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient engagement and participation in recreational activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of therapeutic recreation services into patient care plans
- Conduct assessments to identify patient needs and preferences, and develop programs to meet those needs
- Document patient progress and outcomes, and make recommendations for future treatment
- Participate in departmental activities to enhance patient care and programs within Rehabilitation Services
- Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or obtained within 6 months of hire
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent
