Job Title: Lead Plumbing Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Plumbing Designer to join our team at MG Engineering. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading and managing project design initiatives, supervising a team of design professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality trade-specific schematics and layouts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage project design initiatives, including supervising a team of design professionals.
  • Develop and implement design strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality trade-specific schematics and layouts.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design, with at least 2 years in a senior designer role.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering projects of various sizes and complexities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of design professionals.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in developing and implementing design standards and templates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent.
  • Experience in plumbing and fire protection design, with a focus on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, including ASHRAE and NFPA standards.
  • Experience with project management software, including MS Project and Asana.
