Key Responsibilities- Review and verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile and parenteral nutrition products
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and appropriateness of drug and dose
- Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners
- Participate in the development and presentation of orientation, education, and training programs
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
- 1 year hospital experience preferable with pediatric patients
- Familiarity with unit dose, IV admixtures, and pharmacy computer systems
- Pharmacist license in the District of Columbia
