Duracell is seeking a highly skilled HSE Sr. Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of process safety and compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement process safety management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
- Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Oversee thermal safety and pressure vessel programs, including identification of safety devices and maintenance of training records.
- Manage emergency response and business continuity plans, including training and management of a 4-shift emergency response team.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company guidelines for various programs, including safety management systems, fall protection, and contractor management.
- Support a team of HSES professionals to promote a culture of safety at the site.
- Create and track HSES goals and metrics, and be involved in the Daily Direction Setting of individual production teams.
- Audit and perform risk assessments, and use the hierarchy of controls to address risks.
- Identify and monitor Significant Injury or Fatality (SIF) related incidents, and support HSES investigations using appropriate root cause tools.
- Degree in occupational safety or related discipline.
- 5-7 years of safety-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Adept at developing and maintaining HSES policies and programs.
- Proficient at understanding and applying NFPA/OSHA requirements.
- Able to manage multiple projects with great attention to detail.
- Displays excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be technical, think critically, and have great problem-solving skills.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity.
