Job Summary

The Physician Assistant - Endocrinology position is a critical role in our healthcare system, requiring a licensed and certified non-physician healthcare provider to deliver high-quality patient care. As a key member of our endocrinology team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient conditions.
  • Order, collect, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions.
  • Prescribe and recommend medical therapies and treatments, adhering to approved protocols and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams as needed.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Counsel patients and families on medical processes, health management, and medication use.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Initiate timely consultations and referrals when necessary.
  • Provide consultation-level services for conditions related to endocrinology.
  • Manage patients in various healthcare settings, including inpatient and emergency services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • More than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Current PA license in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
