Join Our TeamAt UPMC, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of anesthesia. As a CRNA, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that includes leading surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals who are all committed to the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia and related care, including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines.
- Assist with the teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
- Perform according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- AHA-approved ACLS/PALS certifications as required by institution of employ upon hire.
