POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant operates under the direct oversight of licensed nursing personnel to deliver direct patient care in line with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

SCHEDULE:
7.5-hour variable shifts

REQUIREMENTS
Licensure/Certification: New York State Nurse Aide Certification
Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted New York State nurse aide certification or an unofficial transcript demonstrating successful completion of a Nursing 101 course from an accredited nursing program, with a letter grade of B or better, along with the course syllabus as proof. BLS certification is required within three months of hire.

The nurse aide must remain enrolled in a nursing program while employed in this role if not certified.

If the nurse aide discontinues their studies prior to graduation, they will not be allowed to continue employment until they obtain certification as a nurse aide in New York State.

Employees have six months to achieve certification or will be deemed ineligible for employment and terminated.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and document comprehensive, patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Provide exemplary customer service to patients and their families.
- Communicate patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to ensure positive health outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment focused on patient and family care.

Not all per diem roles are union eligible.

  • Medium Work
  • Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

PAY RANGE:
$27.16
The listed base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be adjusted in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
