Duties and Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting electronic displays and recording data.
- Initiate corrective action whenever monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
To be successful in this role, you should possess ACLS and BLS certifications, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting.
