Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a JJYS Technician II. This role involves working with delinquent adolescents in various environments, including secure confinement, multi-use facilities, and community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and work closely with high-risk/violent youth offenders
  • Monitor visitors & residents within the facility
  • Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth
  • Assist the Control Supervisor by making perimeter checks
  • Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and the public
  • Pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days of employment
  • Practice "Standards of Care" and supervision of delinquent youth
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing

Requirements

  • Available to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • May be given preference to candidates 19+ years of age
  • May be given preference to candidates who have a high school diploma or GED
