Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a JJYS Technician II. This role involves working with delinquent adolescents in various environments, including secure confinement, multi-use facilities, and community-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and work closely with high-risk/violent youth offenders
- Monitor visitors & residents within the facility
- Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth
- Assist the Control Supervisor by making perimeter checks
- Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and the public
- Pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days of employment
- Practice "Standards of Care" and supervision of delinquent youth
- Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing
Requirements
- Available to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- May be given preference to candidates 19+ years of age
- May be given preference to candidates who have a high school diploma or GED
