Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a Child Care Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children from infancy to preschool age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment that fosters a sense of community and respect among children, families, and staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team approach to child care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements:
- At least 19 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; OR 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age 6; OR Completion of credential programs approved by the Department in accordance with Appendix G of this Part (CDA).
