Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a high level of expertise in diagnostic imaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various perinatal ultrasound procedures, utilizing high frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of disease in utero.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform perinatal ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of disease in utero.
- Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical histories as necessary.
- Review patient history, determine proper protocol selection, explain examination methods, and position patients.
- Evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered, ensuring quality images and coordinating preparation of images/exams and needed documentation for physician partners.
- Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately, informing patients of physician instructions or ancillary caregiver observations or concerns.
- Meet the needs of patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams through effective communication, coordination, and documentation, ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Sonography (S) or ARDMS registry required.
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification required.
- One year of ultrasound experience preferred.
- Fetal Echo Certification preferred.

Salary and LocationThe hourly rate for this position is $41.22-$63.59, with a scheduled weekly hour requirement of 40 hours.
This role is based in Thornton, Colorado, with potential for floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
