Key Responsibilities- Provide professional clinical care for patients in a primary care office setting, following established standards of care and practices.
- Coordinate patient flow, greet patients and families, and prepare them for provider examination.
- Obtain vital signs, laboratory specimens, and perform in-office laboratory tests.
- Administer immunizations and medications according to guidelines.
- Maintain and review patient EMRs, ensuring accurate documentation is available for providers.
- Check laboratory results, post tests and exam results, and follow up on cultures and outside testing.
- Prepare equipment and rooms for treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Ensure provider orders are carried out and medications are safely stored.
- Schedule patients, answer phone calls, and respond to referrals and prescriptions.
- High School Diploma required.
- Certification by American Association of Medical Assistants preferred.
- Must obtain an American Heart Association BLS Certification within 90 days of hire date and continue to maintain as required.
