Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide/Technician to join our team at Orthopedic Physical Therapy Institute. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our therapists in delivering high-quality treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as walking, sitting, and standing, under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Liaise between patients, therapists, and schedulers to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient flow.
  • Observe patients performing prescribed therapy and report any concerns to the treating therapist.
  • Apply ice packs or heat packs as instructed by the therapist.
  • Counsel patients and their families on therapy progress and provide emotional support.
  • Clean and sanitize patient care areas and equipment, maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of basic exercises or a background in the sports or medical field is preferred.
  • Efficient use of standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
  • CNA or other medical experience is a plus.
Work Environment

Our office environment is professional and fast-paced, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. We operate in multiple locations, including Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, and Hayden, Idaho. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
