Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with clients to provide comprehensive and wrap-around services to address their mental health, physical health, housing, employment, social goals, and other needs.
Responsibilities- Assess client needs and develop goals to promote independence in the community
- Provide skills teaching and work with clients and team members to explore alternatives to hospitalization, higher levels of care, homelessness, and incarceration
- Advocate for clients to meet their needs, desires, and best interests
- Utilize critical thinking to make independent judgments and maintain responsibility and accountability for services provided
- Knowledge of mental illness and ability to relate respectfully to clients with diverse abilities and diagnoses
- Ability to meet clients in their homes or public places, drive safely, and transport clients in own vehicle
- Possess teamwork skills, including problem-solving, cooperation, negotiating, and ability to be available for on-call shifts
- Registered nurse with mental health experience preferred
- One year of experience working with the population served
- Valid driver's license and licensed in the state of Iowa as a RN or in good standing
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
- Ability to enter documentation in an EHR and use Microsoft Office
