Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Wound Care Coordinator - RN. As a key member of our nursing center team, you will lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program, supporting central supply and overseeing durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management.
Responsibilities- Lead and integrate a patient-centered team approach for skin health and wound care
- Support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products
- Oversee durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management
- Collaborate with nursing center management to develop and implement a comprehensive skin health and wound care program
- RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval)
- Completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or completion of Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team
- Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, PowerPoint skills
- Competitive pay rate: $40.00 - $47.00 per hour
- Full-time position
- Monday-Friday dayshift schedule (with occasional evening/weekend hours)
