Job Summary

Rochester Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team. As a key member of our audiology department, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations and providing auditory rehabilitation services to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hearing Evaluations: Conduct thorough hearing evaluations using a variety of techniques, including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, OAE's, pure tone and speech testing, conditioned play audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, speech-in-noise testing, central auditory processing evaluations, and cochlear implant evaluations.
  • Auditory Rehabilitation: Provide hearing aid dispensing, fitting, and servicing, as well as assistive-listening device recommendations and other appropriate technology solutions.
  • Patient Care: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' unique hearing needs, including follow-up and referral appointments as necessary.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community events and hearing conservation initiatives to promote healthy hearing practices and raise awareness about audiology services.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate, timely records of patient visits, including written reports and electronic medical records.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Audiology required; Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Licensure: State of New York license to practice Audiology and New York State license to dispense hearing aids required.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
