Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $187,000 - $220,000 USD per year, reflecting industry standards and location considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and database administrators, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, analytics group, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, leveraging your expertise in cloud platforms and big data technologies.
  • Work closely with the analytics team to deliver comprehensive reporting and insights, utilizing tools like Looker.
  • Foster relationships with product and engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and reporting of A/B tests.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and big data technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL for designing, querying, and optimizing relational databases.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of leading and growing teams.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and BigQuery, as well as data lake architectures.
  • Moderate proficiency with Python, Spark, and similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow and Dagster.
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
