Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Med Tech to join our team at Fairmount Homes, Inc. as a Resident Assistant. This role involves providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver resident care in accordance with the Resident Assessment and Support Plan (RASP) with additional direction from the Charge Nurse/Charge Med Tech or other supervisory personnel.
- Assist residents with their activities of daily living, including eating, bathing, incontinence care, oral hygiene, dressing, ambulation, and positioning.
- Assist residents with telephone use, processing laundry, stockings, and tidying up their room.
- Assist with Activities, as needed.
- Follow policies and procedures related to resident care.
- Assist in the dining room by serving drinks, delivering meals, and helping residents with meal choices.
- Order supplies and ensure accurate charging of supplies to resident using electronic charging system.
- Follow team member safety policies and procedures.
- Perform resident transfers per Fairmount policy.
- Report pertinent information, and/or changes in residents' conditions promptly to the Charge Nurse.
- Responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout the facility and for following all applicable rules and regulations of federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Obtain vital signs, weights, intake, and output accurately.
- Present each resident with a neat and clean appearance.
- Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and post-mortem care procedures.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Follow all quality assurance/infection control standards.
- Accurately document on the resident's electronic and paper record.
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance Plan.
- Comply with HIPAA Privacy standards.
- Administer medications and complete treatments per physician's orders following the Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual.
Requirements:
- Current certification to administer medications in PA Personal Care Home (Med Tech) required.
- Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as balancing, climbing, crouching, fine finger movement, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive movement, standing, stooping, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to function calmly and professionally under stressful conditions when confronted with frustrated or angry staff/residents; emergency, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations.
Compensation: $20.05-$21.65 hourly wage, plus $0.50 night shift differential and $1.25/hour weekend shift differential.
