This role is pivotal in supporting our internal health and safety initiatives while engaging in diverse environmental assessment, compliance, and remediation tasks.

Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates should have approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in environmental health & safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety
- Educational qualifications in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related discipline
- Strong critical thinking and technical writing skills
- Effective communication abilities, particularly in addressing large groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting health and safety audits or evaluations at environmental project locations
- Developing site-specific Health and Safety Plans
- Creating Job Safety Analysis Forms
- Investigating incidents and near-misses, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up
- Proposing measures to mitigate workplace hazards
- Reviewing and enhancing our safety practice standard operating procedures
- Educating staff on effective safety programs, including Stop Work Authority, zero-incident objectives, and safe work methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field experience in environmental sampling, underground storage tank removal, environmental boring oversight, and/or remediation supervision
- Experience in environmental compliance
- Familiarity with environmental permitting
- Diverse experience in environmental consulting
