Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Impact Talent Solutions. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic fluoroscopy and various types of cardiac equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and assisting the physician during procedures.

About the Job

This is a contract position with a highly competitive pay and benefits package. The job requires a rotating shift schedule, including on-call duties, weekends, and holidays.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on the location in Baton Rouge, LA. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate degree in radiologic sciences, preferably a Bachelor's degree. You should have 2 years of experience as an allied health professional, with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the team in patient setup and prep before procedures, taking down/clean up post-procedure using safe patient transfer and positioning techniques.
  2. Document in the procedure log to reflect accurate procedures and interventions to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.
  3. Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
  4. Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of the patient during the procedure and report values to the physician.
  5. Monitor delivery of radiation dose to the patient to achieve safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff.
  6. Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS).
  7. Perform quality control standards by using the optimum diagnostic imaging and performing regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The physical demands of this job require exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
