As the Culinary Operations Leader, you will be a vital member of Safta's management team, collaborating closely with the Chef de Cuisine to enhance the restaurant's culinary standards and operational effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include overseeing kitchen functions, fostering the growth of the culinary team, and ensuring the utmost quality and execution of our dishes. Additionally, you will have the distinct opportunity to work alongside the service team to craft an extraordinary dining experience that reflects our core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary team to create and implement innovative and delectable menu offerings that resonate with Safta's culinary ethos.
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate the culinary team, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and learning.
  • Take an active role in the conception and rollout of new menu items and seasonal specialties, focusing on the use of local and seasonal produce.
  • Maintain and enforce rigorous cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols in the kitchen, serving as a model for the team.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to enhance kitchen operations and ensure financial viability.
  • Promote open communication, positivity, and teamwork within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in a leadership position, such as a Culinary Operations Leader or similar role, ideally in a high-volume dining establishment.
  • Broad culinary expertise covering various cooking methods, flavor profiles, and creative presentation.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to inspire, mentor, and delegate effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and proficiency in managing time-sensitive tasks and priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, combined with a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring strict compliance within the kitchen.
  • Expertise in food costing, inventory management, and the overall functioning of a busy kitchen.
  • Creative vision and a genuine passion for the culinary arts, as demonstrated through your professional experience.
