About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in configuring, operating, automating, testing, and troubleshooting complex systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Design and implement automated test scripts and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our systems and equipment remain competitive

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in test and evaluation equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, BER Test sets, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, or Power Meters and Sensors
  • 1+ years of experience in SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem testing and evaluation and Modem operation
  • 1+ years of experience in SATCOM, RF, and Modem waveform theory
  • Experience in establishing test and evaluation criteria
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including PYTHON, Bash, Kubernetes, or Java
  • Ability to use automated test software
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN networks
  • Ability to train team members on complex systems and equipment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JSON
  • Experience with SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem testing and evaluation
  • Experience in the establishment of test and evaluation criteria
  • Experience with developing test plans and procedures in support of equipment evaluation
  • Experience with SATCOM or RF in the WGS constellation
  • Experience working at a Teleport, STEP, SATCOM, or commercial site
  • Experience in a test lab or environment
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel functions and graphing capabilities
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • PATS Enterprise or WGS Certification
