Key Responsibilities:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will conduct and analyze laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory, playing a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, along with certification.
2. Alternatively, an Associate’s Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution with certification as a Medical Technologist.
3. Graduates of Military Programs in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) with certification as a Medical Technologist are also eligible.
4. Candidates who were grandfathered Medical Technologists prior to February 28, 1992, with current certification as a Medical Technologist are also acceptable.
Certifying Agencies:
Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).
Preferred:
~ Experience in a Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Additional Information:
Shift differentials are available, with rotating weekend requirements and no on-call obligations.
