  • Collaborate across disciplines with equipment designers and hardware engineers to plan, design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems for both product and commercial software.
  • Assess computer user requirements; analyze system capabilities to address issues concerning program intent, output specifications, input data acquisition, programming methodologies, and controls; prepare operational guidelines; design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure compliance with software standards and protocols.
  • Evaluate user requirements and software specifications to assess the feasibility of designs within time and budget constraints.
  • Consult with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other stakeholders to design systems and gather information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  • Design, develop, and refine software systems utilizing scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and evaluate outcomes and consequences of design choices.
  • Oversee software system installations and monitor equipment performance to guarantee adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required, along with 5 years of experience in software engineering development focused on host applications and/or embedded processing systems. Alternatively, four additional years of software development experience may substitute for the degree.
  • A Top Secret US government security clearance is mandatory.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux applications, systems, and API development is essential.
  • Current experience in reverse engineering is necessary.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in conducting detailed analysis of wired and wireless network traffic using tools such as Wireshark or other compatible protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols including TCP/IP and network-based communication protocols is required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Bash, Python, C, C++, C#, and the .NET Framework is essential.

Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
