Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Analyst to join our team at Passaic County Community College. As a Purchasing Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement of goods and services for our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis, data processing, and other clerical and routine duties to support procurement activities.
  • Market Research and Price Analysis: Conduct market research, price analyses, and related tasks to ensure optimal procurement decisions.
  • Procurement Support: Solicit pricing, quotes, and proposals, and perform related analysis to support procurement activities.
  • Transaction Management: Troubleshoot, research transactions, and resolve both internal and external inquiries to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • System Administration: Administer various online procurement platforms to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, including electronic databases, to support procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Current college student or recent college graduate required. Supply chain, finance, or business discipline preferred.
  • Experience: Zero to two (0-2) years of related experience.
  • Skills: Excellent math and communication skills, proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems, and ability to work well with staff and students in a cooperative and professional manner.
