Job Overview

Fresh Consulting is a cutting-edge design-led company that specializes in software development and hardware engineering. We're seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement components at all layers of the system, including kernel and display.
  • Develop drivers and services that operate efficiently in a constrained environment while delivering large volumes of data with low-latency and high-bandwidth.
  • Own the definition of one or more work streams focused on hardware bring-up and peripheral drivers.
  • Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues spanning across multiple layers from kernel to application.
  • Profile performance problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack.
  • Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning exercises that span multiple hardware/firmware/software teams.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Software Engineering experience in device driver development, embedded systems, or operating systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly.
  • Deep understanding of microcontrollers, including ARM, PIC, AVR, or similar architectures.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
