Job Description

As a Delivery Driver with Hunter Care Health, you will play a vital role in delivering prescription medication to patients at their place of residence or business. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver prescription medication to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt and collect payment.
  • Return signed customer receipts, collected payment, and any undeliverable prescriptions to the pharmacy at the end of each shift.
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Assist with process improvement and assess procedures to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure clean and safe working conditions of all vehicles.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and follow a map or GPS.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions in English, including traffic signs.
  • Must commit to a regular and consistent schedule to ensure reliable delivery service.
  • Must be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to handle sometimes bulky packages.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to bend at the waist and squat.
  • Able to work with hands, see, and hear.
Work Environment:
  • This position requires driving in all weather and road conditions.
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision.
  • Must be able to work in cooperation with the pharmacy and laboratory needs.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Contingent upon a favorable background check.
  • Contingent upon a favorable pre-employment drug screen.
  • Contingent upon a favorable driving record check as per insurance company regulations.
  • Must always maintain a valid driver's license.
