Our practice resides within our urgent care facility, but it is a part of our ancillary services team. Your patients are scheduled, and your practice's hours would not be the same as the urgent care clinic.

Responsibilities

In a manner consistent and supportive of our values, the Orthopedic Provider is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare within Fast Pace Health's scope of services while achieving optimum patient satisfaction. The Provider must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, committed to delivering exceptional patient care, skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, and provide comprehensive care from diagnosis through rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies
  • Administer non-surgical fracture reductions
  • Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections
  • Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound
  • Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions
  • Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts
  • Educate patients on cast care and potential complications
  • Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies
  • Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment
  • Determine whether surgical or non-operative approaches are most appropriate
  • Provide patients with detailed information about their orthopedic conditions
  • Offer guidance on home exercises, physical therapy, and activity modifications
  • Address patient questions and concerns, ensuring they understand their treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation
  • Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
  • Deliver excellent patient care through in-patient and virtual diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient-centric care, safety, cost, and reliably accurate information

Requirements and Preferences

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 1+ year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider
  • 1+ year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections

Education Requirements

A Master's Degree is required for this position.

License Requirements

A Family Nurse Practitioner License, APRN, or Physicians Assistant License is required.
