  • Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance on conditions, treatment plans, and injury prevention related to body mechanics and ergonomics.
  • Develop Pain Management Strategies: Use therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques to reduce pain.
  • Assist Patients in Regaining Independence: Enhance quality of life through rehabilitation and support.
  • Continuously Assess and Document Patient Progress: Adapt treatment plans as needed to optimize patient care.
  • Communicate Effectively with Healthcare Team Members: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and OTs to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide Personalized Home Exercise Programs: Support ongoing recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Keep Accurate Patient Records: Document assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in patient condition.
  • Follow Ethical and Legal Standards: Respect confidentiality and obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate Cultural Sensitivity: Meet the diverse backgrounds and needs of patients.
Requirements
  • Valid and Active Physical Therapy State License
  • CPR and BLS Certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED)
