Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
- Administer contrast media and medications as required, adhering to scope of practice and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient condition, reporting and responding to changes in status as necessary.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results, ensuring accurate and timely communication with healthcare teams.
- Charge for supplies used in procedures, maintaining accurate records.
- Accredited program in Imaging or related field.
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) within one year of hire.
- One year of technologist experience in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
This role requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including radiology suites, patient rooms, and administrative areas. You will be exposed to radiation, biohazardous waste, and other hazardous materials. Regularly lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies, requiring physical stamina and endurance.
