As a Clinical Nurse 1, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to adult acute care patients on our 46-bed medical surgical nursing unit, Cathcart 5.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including Sickle Cell Anemia, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Chronic Renal Failure.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate coordination of care across the continuum.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate considerations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address potential and actual problems in patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research to provide optimal patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Less than 15 months of experience as a RN.
