Job Summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a skilled Rework Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing rework and repair operations on assemblies, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine product priority based on production guidelines
  • Locate and collect parts and materials for current job assignments
  • Perform repairs on boards per procedure and route boards to next operation
  • Perform on-line rework/repair duties as necessary
  • Enter board quantities into automated computer system for on-line rework/repair operations
  • Perform record keeping and paperwork associated with job assignments
  • Work with solder pot to remove and replace damaged components
  • Perform de-solder operations as needed on assemblies
  • Obtain necessary paperwork and drawings for each assembly and verify effective date
  • Complete WebMR parts requisition for needed rework parts
  • Reference Defect Code List to identify defects
  • Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
  • Maintain clean work area and follow all safety and ESD practices
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Hand solder certification required
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly and repair
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings, and manufacturing routings
