Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Riverview Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our emergency services.
Responsibilities:
* Assess and prioritize patient care based on the critical nature and severity of a patient's condition.
* Administer medication and assist with medical procedures as prescribed by the treating physician.
* Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
* Collaborate with other members of the patient care treatment team to provide procedures, interventions, and discharge or admission processes.
* Chart all patient medical history, contact information, condition, medications, and treatment, and update the electronic medical record throughout the patient stay.
* Discharge patients from the Emergency Room post-treatment, complete discharge instructions, educate the patient and/or caregiver, and confirm transportation from the Emergency Department.
Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program.
* Minimum two (2) years of Critical Care experience and two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
* Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
* American Heart Association Certifications of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC).
Preferred: CEN, TNCC, NRP
