About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Menands area. The successful candidate will offer a competitive salary of $37-40 per hour.


The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for supporting operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. They will also assist in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
  • Facility Inspections: Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • Interior Maintenance: Provide general interior maintenance services, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and repairing doors.
  • Equipment Operation: Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.

Safety Considerations:

  • Hazard Assessment: Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
  • Safety Procedures: Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Code Compliance: Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

Driver Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license (if mobile).

Administrative Tasks:

  • P-card Submissions: Submit P-card receipts daily.
  • Work Order Updates: Update work order status in real-time.
  • CMMS Utilization: Utilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed.
  • Vehicle Safety Inspection: Perform vehicle safety inspections.
  • Problem Escalation: Escalate problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
  • Meetings Attendance: Attend work and safety meetings as required.

Physical Work Requirements:

  • Lifting Capabilities: Lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Height Work: Working from heights.
  • Frequent Movement: Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Adverse Conditions: Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
  • Long Driving Periods: Driving for long periods of time.
  • Ladder Climbing: Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
