Solar Estimator

Solargaines is seeking a skilled Solar Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for bidding and winning profitable and feasible projects while considering construction costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and understand all RFP requirements, scope of work, drawings, and project specifications.
• Analyze data, perform takeoffs, and calculations with accuracy to ensure a complete understanding of contract documents and potential project risks.
• Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and adjust bidding strategies accordingly.
• Utilize company buyout procedures to negotiate the best possible deals for costing, quality, and delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and resources to produce accurate bids.
• Ensure all vendors and subcontractors have required forms and agreements in place.
• Oversee certain deliverables on project startup.

Requirements:

• BA in Engineering, Construction, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of construction estimating experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
• Knowledge and understanding of NEC requirements and other standards.
• NABCEP certification is preferred.
• Experience with takeoff software.
• Knowledgeable with estimating, engineering, cost tracking systems, and site surveying.
