Key Responsibilities

On The Job

As a web developer focusing on Craft CMS, your role will involve building, customizing, and maintaining responsive digital platforms using Craft CMS along with front-end development expertise. Your responsibilities will cover the entire deployment lifecycle, including:

  • Configuration (e.g., setting up Craft CMS, managing environments, add-ons, and user groups).
  • Development (e.g., creating Craft CMS templates, front-end HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Quality Assurance (e.g., ensuring usability, performance, and security for both front-end and admin interfaces).

Essential Qualifications

  • A strong appreciation for the synergy between design and development, including responsive design principles.
  • Proven experience in developing multiple responsive websites utilizing Craft CMS.
  • Proficient in: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, Sass or LESS, Bootstrap, Tailwind.
  • Working knowledge of PHP/MySQL.
  • Ability to install, configure, and support Craft CMS and its add-ons.
  • Experience in upgrading Craft CMS and its add-ons.
  • Familiarity with historical versions of Craft CMS.
  • Experience using Git in conjunction with Craft CMS.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A history of writing clean, understandable, and cross-browser compatible code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create, extend, and customize Craft CMS add-ons.
  • Experience integrating and customizing: Google APIs, social media platforms, Salesforce.
  • Prior knowledge of API and/or SSL methods, protocols, integration, and support.
  • Working knowledge of device detection, cookies, sessions, and/or CRON jobs.
  • Experience with systems such as HubSpot, Magento, Shopify, SquareSpace, WordPress.
  • Familiarity with technologies like AJAX, CodeIgniter, Nginx, SOAP, XML.
  • Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks.
  • Relevant professional certifications and/or educational qualifications.
