Job Opportunity

Rising Light Ridge is seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time barn staff candidate to work on weekends. As a Barn Staff Associate, you will be responsible for feeding horses, cleaning stalls, and preparing evening grain. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of horsemanship experience and demonstrate basic knowledge and skills of leading, grooming, and turning in and out horses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed horses
  • Turn out stalled horses
  • Clean stalls
  • Dump, rinse, and fill water buckets
  • Put hay in stalls
  • Sweep aisles and tack room, office, and break room
  • Administer oral meds as needed and directed by Equine Manager
  • Administer minor medical treatment as needed and directed by Equine Manager
Additional Responsibilities
  • To adhere to all Equestrian Policies and Procedures, as well as other RLR policies.
  • Perform other barn duties as the Equine Manager assigns.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in equine handling and care
  • Strong horsemanship skills and knowledge of equine care
  • Detail oriented and safety minded
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to maintain compliance with Mission, Vision, and Values Statement of Faith of Tim Tebow Foundation and Rising Light Ridge.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift and carry 40-50 lb. bags of feed and stall bedding. Ability to push a full wheelbarrow up a short ramp, shovel, twist, and turn in a safe manner.
