Nurse Practitioner

Cambay Healthcare LLC. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and communicating effectively with patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs.
- Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management tools and techniques, and educate patients and families regarding pain management.
- Develop and revise individualized plans of care as indicated by assessment and patient response to treatment.
- Follow the seven medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and promotes positive patient outcomes.
- Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner utilizing the appropriate tools.
- Formulate and implement a teaching plan for patients and families based upon identified learning needs.
- Provide an accurate and pertinent report of the patient's condition for safe transfer of care.
- Use the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
- Must have certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire or within 3 months of hire.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
