Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ventilation Specialist to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in respiratory care, providing high-quality patient services and contributing to the growth of our organization.

About the Role

As a Ventilation Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch respiratory care to patients requiring ventilation therapy. Your primary focus will be on assessing patient needs, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring seamless transitions from hospital settings to home environments.

In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and address any concerns that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory conditions to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Implement ventilation therapy plans, using your expertise in airway clearance, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes, adhering to AdaptHealth's compliance standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and new technologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an AMA-approved program.
  • A valid, unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by AdaptHealth.
  • CPR certification.
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nurse with vent experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
