Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer I to join our team at The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago. As a Hotel Engineer I, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and visually inspecting tools and equipment
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting preferred
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
  • Driver's license required
