As a Medical Laboratory Technologist within our Pathology Services, you will leverage your laboratory expertise to execute and document results of established laboratory protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Organize, identify, and prioritize specimens to guarantee precise and prompt testing.
+ Conduct and report on various laboratory procedures as requested.
+ Implement quality control measures, proficiency assessments, routine maintenance of instruments, and manage inventory effectively.
+ Ensure accurate patient identification to minimize analytical errors and enhance patient safety.
+ Analyze and interpret data to draw informed conclusions.
+ Promote continuous professional development.
+ Achieve designated objectives.
+ Provide training and guidance to staff and medical technology students as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field is essential.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
Licensure and Certification:
Valid licensure/certification for the state of MS is required; ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is mandatory, or discipline-specific ASCP or AMT certification for specialized roles.
Certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.Essential Skills:
Proficiency in basic computer operations is necessary.
