Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warranty Claims Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing warranty claims in a timely manner for each franchise and/or distributor, tracking warranty parts, and reconciling all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process warranty claims: Determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders for each franchise and/or distributor.
  • Track warranty parts: Tag parts with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed of.
  • Reconcile warranty receivables: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
  • Communicate with customers: Provide excellent customer service by listening to their description of the problems and/or service needed.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Organizational skills: The ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines is crucial.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in computer software and typing skills are necessary for this position.
  • Knowledge of the industry: Some knowledge of diesel and/or automotive systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in truck or auto management is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong computer and phone skills, and a professional appearance are essential.
