Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eden Autism Services. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our group homes, supported apartments, and employment work centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including receipts, proposals, and certificates.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, participants, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform general custodial tasks, including snow removal, furniture assembly, painting, landscaping, and basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Order supplies and manage budgets as directed.
  • Collaborate with health and fire officials as required.
  • Participate in professional growth and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; completion of a craft/technical apprenticeship preferred.
  • Relevant experience in building/facilities maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, kneel, stretch, stoop, and/or reach above shoulder level for extended periods.
  • Valid drivers' license with a good driving record.
  • Working knowledge of construction, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and other related fields.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office and other software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality control.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to group homes and employment centers within the Mercer County region as needed.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
