Position Overview:

$20,000 Sign-on Bonus

We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to enhance our established ENT practice. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for patients across all age groups. Your responsibilities will encompass performing hearing assessments, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing, auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, and videonystagmography (VNG) testing. Additionally, you will provide treatment for BPPV through canalith repositioning maneuvers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret a variety of audiological tests to assess hearing impairment, including air and bone conduction tests, speech reception, and discrimination tests.
  • Conduct VNG testing primarily for adult patients and offer treatment for BPPV.
  • Evaluate test outcomes in conjunction with behavioral, social, educational, and medical histories from patients and their families.
  • Engage patients and their caregivers in the care plan, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Refer patients to medical professionals when necessary for further treatment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Follow established procedures for the care and operation of audiological equipment.
  • Utilize effective time management skills to provide high-quality care in a dynamic setting.
  • Document evaluations and clinical findings promptly and accurately.
  • Serve as a mentor for students in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral or Master's degree in Audiology.
  • Professional audiology license issued by the State of Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA.
  • National provider identifier (NPI).

Work Environment:

This position may involve occasional exposure to challenging conditions. The physical demands include sitting and moving within an office environment, as well as performing canalith repositioning maneuvers.
