The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in the Mount Carmel Health System, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient treatment as delegated by a licensed physical therapist, ensuring a high level of care and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and continuity.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, providing valuable insights for treatment planning.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and manage affiliating students, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of new programs and protocols, driving excellence in patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
- Licensed in the state of Ohio to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- One year of experience preferred, with a strong ability to make sound decisions and utilize good judgment.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous activities, such as lifting and transferring patients.
- Holds a valid Ohio driver's license.
- Maintains annual FIM certification (MCW Inpatient Rehab Unit only).
