Job Description:

This Tax-Exempt Project Finance Specialist position is responsible for supporting the lead bankers in interacting with investment banking clients, including analyzing and underwriting the credit of proposed educational institution financings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and underwrite the credit of proposed educational institution financings.
  • Coordinate the financing process with architects, contractors, market and financial feasibility consultants, lawyers, issuers and other professionals.
  • Review legal documents to ensure appropriate capture of key covenants and terms.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of deal process, including coordinating calls and information flow with working group and prospective investors.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years' experience in Tax-Exempt Project Finance, preferably with experience in the education sector.
  • Strong proficiency with DBC (Data Base Credit), along with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to quantitatively and qualitatively assess markets and business models for attractiveness and strategic fit.
