Job Summary:

As a Boilermaker Apprentice at Kansas Employer, you will be responsible for assisting experienced boilermakers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and other large containers. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements

• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of boiler components, including casting and bending metal pieces

• Weld or bolt boiler components together, ensuring proper fit and finish

• Test completed boilers to ensure they meet safety and performance standards

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment

• Ensure all equipment is properly shut down and stored securely when not in use

Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to travel with the crew for extended periods

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
